Frequently Asked Questions

1. How can I change my lesson time?
English Plus accomodates the needs of our students as much as possible.  We would ask you not  change your study schedule frequently; however, there will be times when you need to do so.  You may use the online booking system to cancel a lesson.  Please note that changes must be made with at least 24 hours advance notice Last minute changes are not allowed.   Whenever you cancel you must make a request for a make-up lesson.  You may rebook using our online booking system.  Please see our schedule and request a time when you think that our teacher will be in your location.  If you wish, you could schedule a two-hour class for the following week.   We will contact you to confirm your request. 
 
2.  What is your policy on late cancellations?

Our policy is that students taking one-to-one private lessons must make cancellation requests the day before a scheduled class by 5:00pm to notify us of a cancellation or schedule change.   Any cancellations or schedule changes made after that time will be deducted from your account as we are obligated to pay for the instructor's scheduled time.   We will simply invoice as if you were present at the lesson.  

3.  Do you offer lessons in French?
Our firm speaks French and conducts business in French on a daily basis.  However, we do not offer lessons in French because our expertise lies in teaching English as a second language.  Our goal is to be the best ESL training company in Ottawa. Specialization is part of our strategy. 

4.  What locations do you teach at?
On a routine basis, our teachers offer language training in downtown Ottawa, Tunney's Pasture (Westboro area), Carling Avenue, Place du Portage and on Sussex Drive.  Of course, we would consider expanding into other areas if there is a demand.  Please call us to speak with us about where you work and perhaps we can find a way to teach you.
